The Day has Come

Well you may be surprised I am posting so soon! But I can not sleep and the Auklin's heart is getting tested so I have to keep my mind on something... We started at 7:30 am and progressed pretty well until about 2 pm when I got stuck at a 5 and 6 hours later still no progression, so C Section I went! It was scary and nervous but it was such a blessing we did- he ended up having the cord wrapped around his neck twice and around his body too- the surgery went great and he looks just like Kasey! : ) He weighed in at 8 lbs 4 oz and is 21 inches long. He is just so cute and so far so good! This has been such a great experience and we are so happy he is finally here to love and adore!

Whats in a name!

Well this will be the last post I will put on as a wife, I am a soon to be mom! ahhh- next time I write we will actually be parents and have a baby to hold! 3 days and counting, I really cant even believe it! This past month has dragged by but the last couple days have flown- Kasey and I are trying to get as much time together in as possible! We are a bit nervous and a little scared but so so excited! We are getting down to the wire with finishing finals and making sure we have everything ready for our little boy! We have been struggling for a while now with a name and we wanted name him something special to us that has meaning and that was unique all in one. I think we found just that! Auklin Reed Craven- is the name! Kasey went to Auckland New Zealand on his mission and we just kinda formed his name out of that. The middle name comes from Kasey Reed Craven. We know it is very different and will take getting used to for a lot of people but we really love it and since hearing it more and more it feels more and more fitting. We are very excited to start this new journey- we will try to keep you updated asap! Thanks everyone for everything! I have the best family and friends EVER! We love you all!

Well its official! Dec 9 is the day, unless he comes on his own before then! HE is doing so good! Almost 7 pounds- we thought he would be bigger this week but that is a good thing- he is growing just right and not getting toooo big ;) I dont have a picture to show but you will all see him soon enough! :D Until then- I probably wont have much to say!

Well i am at work so the pictures I have here arent that fun- but this is the one I came up with in my 4th folder- Its a good one I guess just not a cute one of anyone- : )

Kasey and I had the wonderful oppertunity to go to the Temple on Sat... it had been a little while since we had gone. We have been going to weddings and it has been great but we just needed to go and do some work! It was so refreshing!!! The Temple is the best place ever! I also just wanted to share this picture becuase it is like one of the only ones with Kasey and me together showing my belly : ) and I just love it! And this picture is pretty cool becuase we didnt even know it worked- our battery died before we got to take the picture but we both just begged it to take one picture- well... It ended up turniong on so we set it on a timer and ran for it!We saw the light blinking like it was working so we got ready and after a few seconds it stopped but no flash or anything and we just stood there wondering if it was working- after some time- we went to look at the camera and it was dead, it would not even turn on for us to see if it worked- so we left sadly not knowing if we had this picture or not! : ) it was fun to plug our card into the computer and there it was!!! Like i said- the Temple is a great place!!! :D

HALLOWEEN!

So only the cool people dressed up at work today! : D and this is us... We love Halloween here- we have everyones kids come in and trick or treat- Kasey and I are Mr and Mrs Potato head- Kasey is more like a french fry and I am the whole bag of Potatos! Amanda Is Wilma Flinstone, Jen is the little Devil, Nikki is a Camelot Princess and then there is me... Mrs ptotato head and there is little tyke! :)

So I had a shower and it was the best ever! My amazing husband gave the best presant I could ever ask for. He has been working so hard on this "project" and he has been so anxious- and finally the day came! He surprised me so good!!! He made this crib for the little one and it is so beautiful! It is so special to us and I cant wait to tell our kids when they grow that their daddy built this for them! It was just such an amazing thing and he did so well on it! Kasey decorated it all up with these blamkets and animals- He is getting so excited! I love it-

Counting Down!

Well I thought it was time to show everyone how HUGE i am... It is getting down to the days- Only 6 1/2 more weeks and it is going slower than slow! : ) he is already 5 lbs so we are hoping he will be ok to come out a little early... We thought it would be fun to also show out measuring technique with you- ever since school started the one class Kasey and I have together he has been watching my belly get closer and closer to the desk and this week it was touching! So he took a picture of it- This has been fun to watch and something to look forward to every class ;)
We are also starting to clean out our extra room to set everything up and we have found that... we have NO ROOM for anything! : ) We have too much stuff and no where to put it all so we are busting out our organization skills to see if we can rearange... It is quite a fun time! Everything is making this more and more real for us and it has been so fun. Well thats all for now!

Just an FYI

So another Dr appointment and it was great! I always love them because htey do an ultra sound everytime! It is always fun to see the little guy- I wont post the picture this time because it is a big smudge- you cant tell really what it is and I am not going to try and explain it : ) But basically he is growing like a weed- he is already just about 4 lbs and my dr said I can expect to give birth to an 8 lb baby with a "good sized" head. ; ) Kasey asked if that meant big and she said "we dont like to use those words when the one birthing the baby is around" haha oh man! This is going to be great- it is just good to know he is growing- maybe this will mean he will come a little early and he will be just fine! : ) He is healthy and everything looked perfect! Dr Appointment

Well I am a little late but last week we had another appointment and we were able to see our little boy! He is so so big! Now his whole face takes up the screen instead of his little bean shaped body- i put a picture of the ultra sound below on the left- it is his profile- the top middle start his fourhead and it comes down to the nose- and his cute little lips- he is so cute- we think he has my nose structure but he may just have Kaseys width of the nose- : ) oh I just cant wait to see him! He moves like crazy now and it is just fun to watch him and wonder what he is doing in that tiny little space-
